Ganga River Basin Managememt

1)Will the minister of Environment & Forests & Climate Change

be pleased to state:

a)whether the Govt has prepared or proposes to prepare a comprehensive River Basin Management Plan for Ganga;

b)if so,the details thereof along with its aim and objectives;

c)whether the work has been assigned to a consortium of Indian Institutes of Technology & the detailed memorandum of Understanding has been signed with them and ifso,the details thereof;

d)whether the said consortium has submitted its report in the matter;and

e)if so,the suggestions/recommendations given by them and the action taken/being taken by the Government thereon?

Questions for written answers on July 15,2014 :

1)Physical/Sports Education

Will the minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT<ENTREPRENEURSHIP<YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS

be pleased to state:

a)the total number of Govt run institutes engaged in imparting physical education and sports education during each of the last three years and the current year,state/UT wise;

b)the number of students trained in these institutes during the said period along with the number of students undergoing training in each institute at present;

c)whether the Govt proposes to open more such institutes in the country including Karnataka; and

d)if so,the details thereof,state/UT-wise and if not,the reasons therefor?

Demand & Production of fertilizers

2)Will the minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers 

be pleased to state:

a)the estimated annual demand & indigenous production of fertilizers in the country;

b)the steps taken by the Govt to meet the domestic requirement of fertilizers;

c)whether the Govt proposes to increase/expand public/private investment in fertilizer sector;and

d)if so,the details thereof and if not,the reasons therefor?

Shortage of Agricultural workers:

a)whether after the introduction of mahatma gandhi national Rural Employement Guarentee Scheme(MGNREGS) in the country,a large scale shortage of agricultural labour has been reported in various regions during the agricultural season adveresly affecting the agricultural production;

b)if so,the details thereof;

c)whether any study has been conducted to assess the impact on agricultural production in the country;

d)if so,the details of findings of findings of the study/survey;and

e)the corrective measures taken by the Govt to overcome the shortage of agricultural labour?
